An International Affair

I've been living in my adopted home of Malmö, Sweden for over two months now. The move has slowed down the pace of post-production to some extent, but things are coming along nicely. Editing is on-going, and we have just struck a deal with Zitrin Film & Productions for polishing the edit and special effects. Composition of the music is happening in Budapest, where the recording sessions with a very talented and exciting jazz quartet will be taking place later this month.

It occurred to me that this film has been, and continues to be a truly international affair. I first conceived of it in Cuba, wrote the script and shot it in Canada, and am finishing it in Sweden. We shot the film with a Spanish AD, a Chinese Camera Assistant, a Greek producer, a Dutch executive producer, the music is being composed by a Hungarian, sound design is being done by a Swede, and now an Argentinian will be taking charge of special effects.

Global village indeed.
