Day 3 - Tow-Trucks and Angry Old Men

Adventures in filmland. The day was off to a great start at the library. A great and very early start. We happened to get the most skilled tow-truck driver, who was very excited to be involved in a movie, to tow my car (without scratching it up too much), and got a few killer dolly shots of it, thanks to Pasha 'Totally' Patriki and David 'Razor' Nguyen.

Cassandra nailed her role as 'The Librarian'. I told her I'd be her patron any day. She thought that sounded dirty.

Jeff has been recording crystal clear sound, and dominating the 'that's what she said' contest as well as the singing contest. All that without breaking a sweat.

David, who looks f*&king incredible in 2.35:1 aspect ratio, has been knocking it out of the park in every scene. Today, he put to work the skills he honed as an acting student in Rummaging 101 and Rummaging 102: Advanced Rummaging.

We managed to get an old man very very angry. He yelled at us quite a bit, then walked into his apartment, where he got duly yelled at by his wife. We also had to put up with a neighbour who suspected foul play when we kept going in and out of Anne and Vern Iglis' apartment, a lovely couple living upstairs from me who were kind enough to let us use their apartment as a set. We had to show the suspicious neighbour that Anne and Vern were indeed ok and not under duress to get her out of our hair.

We're done 25% of our schedule and we're not behind by any stretch of imagination. It ain't easy, but it's happening. Bring on tomorrow...
